My scanner does not get my local town police anymore I have a digital trunking bearcat scanner are used to get them till a few months ago now I know longer get them on my scanner did something change?

Joe M.

Maybe.

Sorry for the vague answer, but there isn't much to go on in the question. "my local town police" is rather vague and can refer to anyplace. Some have gone to encryption. If your local town is one of those, it would be why. But without more detailed specifics, it's impossible to answer more accurately.

It looks like the SO if encrypted, as is CSU (sometimes).

I don't see any local police listed.

We’re going to visit Estes Park CO soon, which is in Larimer County. From what I could see, it looked like other than a few tactical TG’s, there are things I might be able to monitor while there. Estes Park itself is fairly small, but I have yet to find a frequency for just them. Maybe it’s all a joint dispatch now on P25?

Anyone with local knowledge, I’d appreciate any info you care to share.

Thanks..

Forrest
